To start with, the Staff rocked! Professional and very helpful. We stayed in the apartment; a 400 year-old converted barn with all the modern comforts - tv, Satellite, and easily large enough for my family of six. Breakfast was wonderful. The 9th century Church across the street was attended by Charlemagne during his hunting campaigns, the wwi & wwii memorial with howitzer added to the experience and the Way Station (saloon) down the street was an unexpected surprise! We greatly enjoyed the town and it's hospitable people!
The appartment has "personality" - my 6'2" 200lb frame was a bit large for the place (low beams and small doors), but I still loved it just the same.

The staff are very friendly and the breakfast room is very special (it is an old class). The breakfast itself was also nice for the price of the hotel.

Very nice room, Beautiful building, comfortable bed, good breakfast, good location to make trips to locations in the Ardennes or Luxemburg, very nice and helpful owner and staff, nice restaurants in the area.
Unfortunately the room was noisy, you could hear the sounds from the hallway a bit too well. The internet connection was very slow.

Relatively new business but proprietor and staff very friendly and made us most welcome. Rooms comfortable, good breakfast. Evening food of snack variety but enjoyable. Good prices. Very relaxed atmosphere. Happy to use again

The service was top-notch and friendly. We liked the rural setting of the hotel, the comfort and quirkiness of the setting. Breakfast was great and we loved the dining room! Most of all we truly appreciated the owner who couldn't do enough to make our stay go well.
We stayed in a suite. We suggest that one of the rooms could be changed into a small sitting room with sofa-beds which could be converted into beds for families. Otherwise, a lovely experience!

When I entered the bedroom it really felt like I was going back in time to an old intern school dormitory. The breakfast hall was also beautiful, with a huge fireplace and school desks spread around.

Les Ecoliers is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a peaceful night's stay. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome at their hotel. The hotel was easy to find and the room was spacious, comfortable and had a nice modern en-suite bathroom. The hotel was not serving evening meals, but the hotelier was helpful and directed us to the attractive Ardennes town of Houffalize which offered a good choice of restaurants and bars. In the morning, a good breakfast buffet was provided in the spacious "old school room". Would have no hesitation in returning for further stays.

The hotel was an interesting renovation of an original school with a nice garden area, lounge and bar area and breakfast was in a lovely large room which had a open fireplace used during cold weather. The owners were very friendly and helpful with information about the local area.

What a fantastic place to unwind. The conversion of this old school is fantastic. The staff were so helpful, especially the provision of a shuttle-bus to take you into the nearest town (there are no bars or restaurants in this tiny village), The recommendation for the restaurant was excellent.

Quiet place with the nice garden. The breakfast is usual, nothing especially. The location is suitable only for car travelers.

The staff was very friendly and extremely eager to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable. The hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, having been the old schoolhouse. Adding to the ambience was the way they included items from the old schoolhouse in the decor of the hotel, especially in the beautiful breakfast room, where an excellent breakfast was served.
